Phnom Penh – July 27, 2025 — The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has announced the postponement of the 2025 Baccalaureate Examination, originally scheduled for August 18-19. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Professor Hang Chuon Naron, confirmed the new dates as August 28-29, 2025.
On his social media Facebook account, Deputy Prime Minister Hang Chuon Naron posted on July 27, 2025, stating, “The Baccalaureate Examination scheduled for August 18-19, will be postponed to August 28-29.” The ministry cited logistical considerations and the need for additional preparation as reasons for the adjustment to the examination timetable.
Furthermore, the minister assured candidates from Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihear provinces that they could choose to take the exam either within their own province or at alternative locations in other provinces if they wish. He also addressed concerns of students in these provinces, saying, "Children who are candidates from Oddar Meanchey and Preah Vihear provinces, please do not be afraid. The ministry understands the situation of the you."
The ministry emphasized that the rescheduling aims to ensure all candidates can participate under optimal conditions. The Ministry of Education continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates if further changes are necessary.
